I don’t have the oven you have I have the 2 in 1 pink sublimation one. Where you pull the levers close. Can I do this procedure you just did in my machine?

I picked up a bottle of 100% acetone at Dollarama in Ontario, if anyone is looking for a cheap source.

Can you let it sit for a longer time instead of checking every 30mins?

How do you get your black tumblers so perfect 😮 I’ve messed up so many. Just can’t get it right 😢
@christinawoodhouse81429 ай бұрын
Honestly, overtime I learned that less is way more. There are so many videos out there, including my own on how to tape down every square inch of it, but what it actually boils down to is cutting it down to the precise size that you need with almost 0 overlap and pressing down that middle seam. I do not tape the top or the bottom anymore. I just tape the seam and I cinch it as tight as it will go and as I said, I might have a 1/8 of an inch overlap on the middle seam, and I creased that down perfectly.

If the colors are lighter would it work better
@christinawoodhouse81429 ай бұрын
Yes, absolutely if you mess up a lighter image and you use one round of acetone, you should be good to lay a darker image over top top, but make sure that it’s a more busy image and be careful about placement

I used armour etch and got all of the sublimation ink off. I had to use subli glaze to re-coat for sublimation but taking off of the ink only took 5 minutes.

Please advise how you did yours

@deo-volentelesese9320 i just painted the armour etch on waited 5-10 minutes and used a blue pad and it came right off. The acetone didn't work for me.

Thank you so much, will try it as well. We learn everyday. Hope it won't take off the suvb coating 😅

@christinawoodhouse81429 ай бұрын
I can’t remember how long I did it in this video as it’s old that I’m only just realizing how to respond to comments on here lol but I think I did them for 30 minute intervals and I have to wrap them in plastic wrap because acetone evaporates quickly
@darlenecrider2181 Жыл бұрын
Can you put another sublimation on it after all of that.
@christinawoodhouse81429 ай бұрын
Yes, I absolutely absolutely Ken and I absolutely do and I have seen a lot of people telling others that my video is fake or that it’s not possible I just ignore it and keep doing what I’m doing and reusing my tumblers
@clarybelhermosillo2915 Жыл бұрын
can you put it in the oven after the 3 rounds of acetone?
@christinawoodhouse81429 ай бұрын
Yes, acetone dissolves very easily so once I am done doing that, I wash it with soap and water and then I let it dry and then I continue with my sublimation. Just make sure that you are not using anything abrasive that will scratch the surface because when the acetone is on there, it does make the surface more pliable, but once it evaporates it all hardens up again
@skywatcher19739 ай бұрын
This does NOT work for all tumblers. It will strip the entire coating!
