didnt read through all of the comments. . . But at the Dealership we actually refer to that part as a bumper closeout panel. what you can do if you have a Sport or Sport S . is thke them off and order the ones either through Mopar or Quadratec for the Rubicon with the plastic bumper and bolt them on. . Gives a nice finished look and protects the fog light and wiring. part numbers are 6KL10RXFAA and 6KL11RXFAA

@@pierrotleblanc3449 It's a sealed connector. There are dozens of them under every Jeep and every other vehicle on the road today. Road grime isn't getting in. You realize the ABS system has sensors at each wheel, right? They literally can end up under water. They use the same style connector.

Thanks for this! Very easy to remove, but just a quick question... I do prefer the look of the air dam removed but want to double check it’s not needed for anything other than aerodynamics/fuel economy. To me, it sits too low, and it just looks meaner with it off... I’d like to keep it off! Thanks!

It’s called a front bumper end cap closure panel. I recently put on 35” wheels on my 2019 wrangler JL unlimited Sport. I do have a 2.5” suspension lift so I was surprised that theyre rubbing against this stupid panel. I was just going to remove it but the wires would be exposed. I recently saw a blog where someone cleanly cut flush with the bumper to allow the clearance, so I went that route, since I’ve searched up and down looking for a cover to go over the wires only in lieu of this stupid end cap flare piece and can’t find a thing. Hoping these aftermarket companies come out with some sort of cover for the stock bumper, but for now, it looks great and no more rubbing!

I removed mine. Hated them....but....now the back of the bumper looks like crap and the wires for the fogs are indeed exposed as has been mentioned. Rob says in the video “please leave comments below for us to respond” and yet they’ve not come back and answered this question. How’s come? I got looking at a Sahara today on the back side of the bumper there, and see there’s a plastic shield that clips into place to cover up the lights and such, BUT it appears to be a different shape and will most likely not fit on the Sport bumper. I am going to go to a Dodge stealer next week and talk to a parts guy about one of the Sahara panels and see if it fits.
