Hi Laslo- Just ran into your video. Exceptional and just what i was looking for. I have a 2011 ML350 W164 and am installing an AVIN Android radio. I followed your instructions and everything works except for the radio reception. I cannot get it to work. I suspect it has something to do with the antenna amplifier turn on signal. What wires need to be connected. I ran a 15ft FAKRA to the rear passenger seat and connected to the sirius antenna. Nothing works. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

Brilliant Video, I also have the harmon kardon system however from my head unit I don't have the left and right audio that is supposed to connect into the fibre optic decoder. instead I have RR RL FR FL SUB which is all the individual speakers. Please could you advise what to do there?

Great video! I'm looking to buy a Mercedes ML and will be putting in aftermarket Android head unit. The car I'm buying has a 7.1 surround system and I'm hoping that the fiber cable adaptor solves that so I don't lose surround. I noticed you don't use any noise suppression filters and EMI filters? Also would be great to see how to connect steering wheel controls, unless of course they already work with the connection you made?

Yes you can use it, you just need to conect it to the main unit you had instaled, these cables are not comming in the pack so you need to buy but you can use factory monitors in back seats))) subscribe my video if you like it and share my other videos... Thanks a lot to everyone who supports me

I did not as i needed to remove caroet and a lot of plastic to hide the cables so i didnt, but you can do it of course, you juste need to buy some extra cables and conect it behing the multimedia, there are extra cables for head set 😀😀😀

very useful. But why did you have to disconnect the temperature/AC switch module first? that sometimes can trigger error messages because the airbag sensor switch is connected there. Can't you just leave hanging out of the way while you work on the radio?

I remove it so i can have more space to work 😀😀😀... Of course you can just leave it there and dont touch it, it didnt triger any alarm, or if it does once you remove key from your car and restart it erorrs will disapear id there are not active and conected properlly...

Hello Laslo, I have also bought an android system for my 2006 R350. Unfortunately my R350 is a Japanese model and the connector supplied by the android aftermarket supplier is only suitable for european R350. I have been searching frantically for the pin configuration of the japanese connector on my car so that I can cut and connect the wires....do you have any other suggestion for me? Thanks so much.

You have two options, 1 is to cut the connector and conect wires or 2 you can contact dealer to supply you connector for Japanese model... Becuase when i ordered i could chose for which gl model i need connectro as mexico, japan, europe are not the same... But easiest is to cut the wires and conect them... Seeee yaaaaa

The power (yellow and red) wire you connect with the blue antenna wire- where do they come from? From the optical adapter box? How do I know if I need it? My gl450 does not have Hermon Kardon logo on the front door speakers however the optical cable (pink and orange) you remove from old plug and attach to the optical adapter box is in my cars plug too- does it mean I need the optical adapter? Can you also share the soft copy of the wire diagram you showed in the beginning? My unit didn’t come with a wire diagram. By the way, great video.

If you dont have Harman Kardon than you dont need this additional adapter))) just conect speakers and it should work... Blue antena cable you need to conest to power as you need 12v to power the antena))) thanks for your subscribtion)))

On my video you can see which blue wire i used to connect antena, and of course you need 12v supply, just conect antena like i did and it should work, as it is hard for me to tell you which wires to bring and power up the antena)))

I have a fm am farkra antenna adapter with blue wire. So I connect farkra antenna adapter blue wire with Kenwood harness blue wire together and connect to blue wire from OEM harness? That is strange, if other cant hear you than ok i have solution but that you cabt hear others, strange. Because your speakers are working properly when listen to music so maybe only thing you can do to reinstal bluetooth maube there is a problem in program. Try that... I've already done this.An nothing.Also my aftermarket unit powers 4x45 and Gl has 14 speakers.Now I have only front doors and center speaker working....also I have fiber optic cable and I think that all speakers should work...

Yes all speaker shoul work, and if they dont it doesent matter if your multimedia is 4x45 because fiberoptic cable is povering up amplifier which is below rear seats and wrom there aplifier is shearing to all speakers. Maybe you have problem than with your fiberoptic adapter, did you buy one, which model is it, maybe is bad have some malfunction,if on original multimedia all speakers were working)))
