It's only taken us a few months... but the wallpaper is finally gone from our entryway! See the before and after along with my wallpaper setup process here!
Products we use:
- This is similar to the steamer we use: amzn.to/3yhOmpu
- Drywall mud (joint compound): amzn.to/3yVdIdh
- Plastic putty knife scraper: amzn.to/34CKK3Y
- Drywall sanding sponge: amzn.to/3uI49Ld
- Purdy cub paint brush (this is our favorite brush for all painting): amzn.to/3yZnXxh
After removing alllllll the wallpaper, Jay patched the walls with drywall mud, sanded everything down nice and smooth, and painted!
We chose Farrow & Ball's Green Smoke for an accent wall around the stairs, which really makes the white pop! And we're sticking with our standard white: Westhighland White from Sherwin Williams for the rest of the walls.
The green looks amazing, but I'm a little annoyed at how it makes the popcorn ceiling really stand out. That might have to be my next project!
