How to Render 720p & 1080p Video using Sony Vegas Pro 11

Is the video only a few seconds long as well ? If it is, it sounds like you have "Render Loop Region Only" turned on by mistake. Setting is near the bottom of the Render As window - turn it OFF.

Hello, i'm desperate. After rendering video it has problems with colours (there are no problems in original). I mean colours change too fast from blue to orange like noises. I've tried to change settings but it didnt work out. Moreover, if i change bit rate to 8 from 32 it doesnt work at all. Is it problems with my sony Vegas or what?

Which exact version of Vegas are you using ? Most problems are fixed by rendering with the CPU only - don't use GPU. You can also try a full program reset. Turn Vegas Off. Hold down CONTROL and SHIFT keys at the same time AND ALSO AT THE SAME TIME double click program icon to Boot program. Window will pop up. Select Delete Cache and Yes. This will restore program to Factory Default Settings.

After rendering, my video has weird artifacts popping up and distorting the video. They'll appear, then disappear. Im running in this mode because I've seen numerous videos and forums saying that my compatibility mode can be the problem and to switch to vista. However I have a very fast comp with geforce GTX 650 graphics card . Also I've tryed resetting vegas , didn't do anything. The ending Remedy I've found for myself has just been to render down small parts of my video at a time and then to import and combine then in camtasia with decent fade transitions leading into a final overall render down from there

Sounds like you have imported a video clip that is using a Video Codec that Vegas cannot read. Try converting your video into a different format/codec before importing.

This same thing is happening to me. The music works just fine when previewing, but post production there is no music, but audio from the video. The music is also in mp3 format.

When I edit a project I save it with my markers, and when I'm in the "render as" window I mark the "save markers on rendered file" option, but when I transfer my video to DVD Architect my markers do not show, they are not saved and I want to know why, I know I can create markers once in DVD Architect but that is not what I want, I never had this issue with the studio version. Hi, I created a project, with pictures, comments, video clips and music. I rendered it and now I cannot find the project no more. Only the rendered movie is still there. It should not make any difference, however it is good practice to use Import Media because that is exactly what you are doing. Open is for "opening" an existing project file.

To those trying to use Mainconcept with GPU acceleration....Has anyone got this to work? Mine comes up with an error everytime try to render....I'm forced to use the format rendering using CPU. In comparison....its really slow. I have an nVidia 680 GTX with the latest drivers 301.42...Anyone got any solutions? Google'd this issue and it seems to be a stupid Vegas integration issue.

#2, Its the option in the render settings (Automatic, Render only using CPU and Render with GPU (when possible)). The codec works perfectly fine with "Render with CPU only" but its so much slower. Do you have any suggestions to improve Sony AVC renders? Compared with Mainconcept, the format's "crispness" is noticeably worse. My settings are exactly the same as yours in the video except bitrate which is at 10,000,000.

Hi Derek! i've noticed that uploading videos on youtube straight from the camera, without working the file on Vegas-deinterlacing it, now you tube does not create those interlacing problems ( that made my videos look like a puzzle ) that i had months ago. So the question is, how do i have to edit a video in Vegas pro 11 without touching the file format ( leaving it in the AVCHD (.m2ts) form ). I only want to apply effects and editing but don't want to alter the quality of the video. thanx!

#1, Yeah. I am using a paid version of Vegas 11 and skipped 10 because I thought 9 was so stable. Especially with all the codecs and templates. I have noticed that GPU acceleration works in the Sony AVC format as my GPU usage climbs to around 50% whilst rendering. The actual GPU acceleration option in the preferences tab work soundly. No problems there.

hey, i have an amd Radeon HD 6670 and vegas doesn't see it. it see's my onboard video, which is useless and annoying because while i use the much better videocard, onboard is disabled, thus causing vegas to crash whenever i try to render accelerated. i would really appreciate it someonme may be able to help. or if they have the same card and vegas.

How do you know what p you are supposed to use. For example you said in your video, if you are using 720 p...select 720p. If you are using 1080...select this...etc. How do I know what I have?

Off topic question but any idea on how to make it so I can edit Sony Vegas Pro 11 video files with Windows Movie Maker? The reason being is that every time I render a video in Sony Vegas, it makes the dark regions of the video darker, and the lighter regions lighter... Which is a slight piss-off. If you know how to fix that, that would be amazing! If not, yeah, how do I get a Sony Vegas Pro 11 videof ile to Windows Movie Maker? It says I'm missing a codec?
