Good video - in particular, using a zip-tie on the black vent hose (as shown by the technician) is necessary because the ID is considerably larger than the nipple OD that it attaches to. I had to replace this hose because in the process of changing the entire bottom sump assy (motors/pumps/etc.), the brittle drain hose (in a process I was unaware of) opened up on corrugated creases in several places, basically flooding my kitchen floor when I tried out the dishwasher - that was an unpleasant cleanup!

In attempting this replacement but my lg dishwasher doesn't have a water inlet for my replacement hose. What do I do?

My hose cracked in more than one spot. Why doesn't LG provide a better quality hose? Rubber instead of cheap, thin plastic?

mine completely blew out and spewed waste water all over my kitchen they will not take responsibility for it. the hose is so flimsy you can bend it half. poor design

How do you drain out the water in the dishwasher before laying it on it's side so that we don't get water leaking out the door?

My drain hose is longer than the one I received, it seems as though lg changed the design at some point..... the hose on the dishwasher side of the u is too short

Thanks! You left out a step, though: You have to remove the bottom panel once the appliance is on its side.
