Nice clear instructions! I just sent this off to my dad who is trying to fix some rotted drywall in between the tub and the toilet. There aren’t any studs in that spot so I really hope this helps him!
@conroe25024 жыл бұрын
Wow this helped out alot. My mom put a 2 inch hole in the drywall with the bathroom door knob, no studs anywhere near the hole, so this was a major help !!! I'm a a carpenter and plumber, but not a drywall man. Subscribed and thumbs up

Dude, this was awesome & that was brilliant to cut your patch piece first & use it for the template. I’d love to see the next step in your repair.

Excellent video! Clear and concise instructions. Will be very useful when I repair the big hole in my drywall.
@MoreThanMaintenance5 жыл бұрын
I think I was rather clear that the video was specifically in repairing the hole. Taping and floating is an art. There are so many different techniques and approaches that are helpful and useful. I am not a taper by trade so I tend not to give advice on something that is not a skill that I apply on a daily basis. I can float and tape but not like some of the professionals who do it on a daily basis if that makes sense. I did look up on KZbin the many different techniques and if you have one that is better or more useful I encourage you to make a video and post. I will add it to my link for others to watch. Thanks for the comment. 👍

Did you remove the 1st two dry wall screws that drilled in the support? Or did you mud and paint over them?

Thanks for posting this video. I have a light switch by the area that I need to repair. The electrician did not attach it to anything; is there a device that I can use to attach it to so it doesn't move once the area is repaired? Thanks for any recommendations you can offer.

Older homes tend to have thinner drywall. Buy drywall that is the same thickness as the piece you're replacing.
