How to Repair MB-Tex Cracks Using a Leather Repair Kit - Mercedes Upholstery Repair DIY

Repair MB-tex upholstery using a leather repair kit.
After we had already replaced the driver's seat bottom cushion once on our Mercedes W211 Estate / S211, we developed cracks in the MB-tex upholstery on the side bolster again.
We also had a crack on the top bolster, so we decided to try a different approach and repair the cracks.
Mercedes MB-tex upholstery is vinyl and not leather, so finding the right repair kit or material is not clear for small repairs like this. We used a typical leather repair kit and were happy with the results overall.
The repair isn't perfect, but it's better than before, and the cracks won't spread any further.

How is the repair holding up so far?

Thanks for asking. In the video, there was about a 1-2 week period from the initial application to the final review. On the larger crack we needed to build-up a little more. Since the video, the repair has held up well. Most importantly there hasn't been more cracking which is what we wanted to stop. The top bolster looks a little lighter in color since we did it, but it could just be the lighting of the sun / LED. Overall, we're happy and it's stood up to light cleaning and 303 spray without any issues.
