How does it look after getting heated and used? Did those wrinkles come.out? Would love to see a photo. Would not do this myself if the end result didnt smooth out

Thanks for reaching out, I hope you enjoyed the episode and please consider subscribing and leaving a thumbs up. So far I have been very impressed, the wrinkles have come out overall great and has been holding up very well. If you have instagram follow us on there @fullthrottle.bhp and I can share some photos with you of it's current condition. The GLK is my daily so it has had a lot of use since installed. The passenger side will be getting done in the near future.

@FullThrottleBHP So many other videos complain about how difficult it is to release the heater wire. Is it really just a release mechanism that can work with a flathead screwdriver?

Any reason why the cover could not be installed over the old one, just cutting off the old j border from the old one?
@FullThrottleBHP7 ай бұрын
Thanks for reaching out, you would have issues where you need to click the cover into those white/blue clips. I suppose you could slice the cover to pass the retaining sleeve through and then cut the j clip off the old one as you mentioned. But really no benefit to doing so and creating much more work for yourself. But it would be doable. If you have any other questions feel free to reach out and consider subscribing and leaving a thumbs up if you have not already. - Full Throttle

I was so excited to see this replacement online, however, my replacement is quite different being 2018 model. I found the entire seat had to be removed, not just the bottom seat. Do you see that differently?
@FullThrottleBHP5 ай бұрын
What model do you have? It is very possible you would have to remove the entire seat but i know for majority of Mercedes models from this generation has the removal bottom base with out removing the entire seat assembly. - Full Throttle

@@FullThrottleBHP Thank you for the comment. With that, I dug deeper and found you were right. I was able to buy just the bottom and replace it. Took a little bit of time for me, but I did it.

@@jameswebbspeaksawesome job, did you have to deal with the heating element? I’m planning on doing this also on a w205 2016
@jameswebbspeaks11 күн бұрын
@@Romanchelli-ci9on yes, I did have to deal with the heating element, but only the plug in. It wasn't that difficult once I located it and reclined the chair all the way back.
