Hello Great video it’s gonna be helpful I’m gonna replace my clutch soon I just have one question where did you get the metal plate and what’s the part number I have a 2006 triumph sprint st 1050 can you help me find one I live in USA 😊

Hey friend glad it helped! Well I just got it from ebay the brand was Surflex and it was a kit with metal plates and clutch discs. The listing is not available but sure there are more "Triumph 1050 Tiger 06-11 Surflex Complete Clutch Plate Kit". The springs I got seperately. Please check the bell arm it usually needs replacement too.

Thanks for the video! About the wear to the clutch actuator arm, I believe I may have this problem. Can you describe better where the wear appears so I know what to look for? Is the item shown in the video the worn one or the new one? The text on the screen saying it is badly worn seems to contradict what you say about engaging at 90deg. Is it in the machined end where it engages the clutch shaft that wears?

Hello friend, the item shown is badly worn. If you are in doubt you should replace it, it is a wear item anyway. About the 90 degrees it shoud not point forward when it starts pulling the disks, that is a rough way of knowing if its worn, but since you took it out it must be obvious and should have only one groove.

dwasnt there meant to be a Crinkle washer on the outside of the starter gear? the one where you forgot the gasket?

Hello good friend! Starter assemblies change and rely heavily on engine serial, since most 1050's have starter issues. Nevermind, later after the video I also changed the starter, casing and gears to match the aftermarket fix for the starter. In all honesty there might be something missing or not from my last assembly since this is a 2010 bike some other hands might have worked on it.

Hey Chrys, finally someone did a great detailed tutorial with this clutch assembly! I m preparing my bike for the new season and i will need oil change and clutch kit... My first replacement was EBC discs and springs, however metals stayed the same... Now i m about to change everything but i m in dilemma... Barnett complete kit (disks, metals and springs) or factory kit? (Γράφω στα αγγλικά αδερφέ μου σε περίπτωση που χρειαστεί κάποιος ξένος έχει τις ίδιες απορίες.) Keep up the good work brother!

Χαιρομαι πολυ που υπαρχει και ελληνικο κοινο για αυτα! Η αληθεια ειναι οτι μου πηρε χρονο προσπαθωντας να φερω ενα καλο αποτελεσμα! I would go with whatever fits the budget I do not think it is really something of importance to give much thought on. Dont be scared out of aftermarket option. Thank you for your comment!

Barnett is relatively overpriced but according to triumph forums, of higher endurance and performance... My main concern since the first time i replaced the clutch was the order, because i got lost... However now i found exactly what i needed! Take care man!

Chrys αδερφέ μου ήρθε τελικά το kit της Barnett και αύριο το τοποθετώ. Θέλω να μου λύσεις μια απορία αν μπορείς: Την πρώτη φορά που άλλαξα δίσκους-ελατήρια σε ebc έπρεπε να αφαιρέσω τις 2 αντικραδασμικες ροδελες (ροδέλα και το άλλο που έχει κυρτότητα) και θα τα τοποθετήσω ξανά τώρα. Η flat ροδέλα από τη μια πλευρά είναι τελείως flat και η άλλη πλευρά έχει πιο καμπυλοτό τελείωμα. Θυμάσαι να μου πεις πως πρέπει να κοιτάει ως προς το κινητήρα?

Όσον αφορά την κώνικη είναι ξεκάθαρο... Εγώ ρωτάω για την flat πάνω στην οποία πατάει η κώνικη... Αυτή μου φαίνεται ότι η μία πλευρά της είναι τελείως flat και ότι η άλλη πλευρά ενώ είναι flat στις άκρες κλείνει πιο καμπυλωτά... Δεν ξέρω αν θα παίξει ρόλο στο πώς θα την τοποθετήσω...

καλησπερα!! ειμαι κανουργιος κατοχος της συγκεκριμενης μηχανης και εχω νομιζω το ιδιο προβλημα ...ξεκιναω και δεν παιρνει της ταχυτητες μερικες φορες με τιποτα πρεπει να πηγαινω πολυ σιγα για να αλλαξει η ταχυτητα ο προηγουμενος κατοχος μου ειπε οτι οφειλεται οτι ηταν καιρο σταματημενη και μαλλον εχουν στεγνωσει τα δισκακια ...πιστευεις οτι ισχυει κατι τετοιο??

Ισχυει για τα πρωτα 10 λεπτα μεχρι να ζεσταθει και να κυλισει το λαδι αν εχει να παρει καιρο. Υπαρχει περιπτωση να μην εχει αρκετο λαδι αλλα μη πιστευεις κανεναν που σου λεει οτι θα στρωσει το προβλημα, αν μετα απο ολοκληρη μερα οδηγησης δεν εχει φτιαξει δεν θα φτιαξει ποτε. Ξεκινα με τα απλα, να εχει ενα χιλιοστο τζογο το συρματοσχοινο απο πανω με τη ρυθμιση που εχει στη μανετα και μετα πηγαινε στα πιο συνθετα, συνηθως ειναι το μπρατσο που ανοιγει τους δισκους. Σε καθε περιπτωση μη το αφησεις γιατι μπορει να διημιουργησει μεγαλυτερα προβληματα.
