I just bought some 2 piece rotors for my FD and they didnt come with that unbolting protection wire. Never seen this before. Should i be worried now?

If the bolts are drilled for the wire then get some and do that, if not get drilled bolts.

Some manufactuers dont use lacing wire so I'd just got off what the manufctuer recommends

Your safety wiring procedure is all wrong, you're supposed to twist around the bolt in the direction so it tightens each bolt that is safety wired. The one that you show him doing, you can look at it and tell both bolts are wired to loosen instead of tightening. It will still work but the procedure is all wrong.

A good 15B will know how to safety wire those bolts!! Those safeties are extremely loose and would almost be considered neutral no anti-rotation. Please find you a good aviation mech next time.
