Wilwood Rotor and Hat Assembly

Every now and then people ask if it’s necessary to safety wire the bolts on a rotor / hat assembly. The short answer is yes, but I made this video to document a little more about how to do it.
This is for the Wilwood front brake rotors that we use on C5 Corvettes in Spec Corvette, but the same logic applies to any rotor and hat setup.

Came to see the assembly of a two piece brake assembly, stayed to watch a non aviation mechanic do safety wire. It probably doesn't matter that much in this application, because its non aviation, but correctly done safety wire should be done so the bolts pull against each other in a tightening fashion and the wire will be tight across the edge of the bolt.
