Turn the car on and put it in nuetral, this will disengage the ebrake and youbdont need a scanner to change these brakes

this is brilliant! I have to do my GF's brakes this week, so obviously I'm going to lift all 4 wheels off the ground so i dont have to worry about the car moving while it's in neutral.

​@@tobreatheistogrow the electric e brake is only on the rear. I use a 12 volt battery with a pos lead and a neg lead to move the caliper piston back since you can not use a c clamp or channel locks to squeeze the piston back on the rears. The front brakes are easy to change since they dont have an electric e brake, they are just old school hydrolic calipers. The clilps on the front calipers are a bit tricky if you havent done that before.

Thanks for the video. What type of 7mm bolt is it? Do I need a Hex socket? Thanks! Is there any need to lube these type of slider bolts? They don't seem to be a standard slider pin like on my Mustang. Thank you.
