I almost never comment but wow, the abuse of that torque wrench is almost criminal... We've all been there, wearing a thick layer of rust and sweat under a car and not wanting to make another trip to the toolbox, and I know it's probably a mad rush to get a job done and make a video about it, but it's right off the bat and it's probably worth a few steps to grab a breaker bar when the whole internet is watching. The half turn past the initial torque is also breaker bar work. It did seem to break free suspiciously easy (maybe the shiny newish car is living in a cry climate and your tq wrench really is that lucky.... or maybe just forgot to record the grunting with a cheater pipe) Either way, thanks for hanging it out there and I hope you grow your channel! Seriously though.... You should repost this with a title like "How to trash a torque wrench 101". It will get more clicks and is a more accurate description 🤣

Haha appreciate the insight bro! The fact that you said you barely ever comment and now decided to write all this out got my attention hahah. Yeah I broke 3 torque wrenches making this video.. All jokes aside though, the nut didn't come off all that hard. It was tough for sure and you're 100% right about using proper tools, but the car luckily doesn't have rust due to the good west coast climate it spent all of it's life in and has fairly low miles. So all in all, it worked out. Regardless, appreciate you stopping by!

How did you prevent the hub from rotating by tightening the center bolt ?? .. (200Nm+180deg) .. thanks fro the video ..

Great video bro! I've got a 2015 Jetta that needs the front wheel bearings done, this is definitely super helpful! What brand wheel bearings did you end up going with? I'm looking at some "FAG" bearings from FCP Euro right now, looks on par to oem to me.

Curious if you went with these and what your opinion of them was? I need to get some rear wheel bearings and I also was looking at the F A G's (don't know why they named them this but we're all adults right lol?)

@@Treizez34 I actually did end up going with the "F.A.G." wheel bearings and I'm very happy with them. They were literally identical to OEM with the VW logo grinded off. I get all my VW parts through "FCP Euro" and they have a lifetime warranty on them, so if you ever need to replace them a second time, you send the old ones in and get a full refund, same thing with oil changes. And yes....definitely an interesting name🤣
