Finally! An informative how-to without all the extra b.s. or missing information. Steady and clear image, & carefully and well described process. I just helped a (single mom) friend get this done without a hitch thanks to this video. The cost of repair at a shop or dealership was well outside her budget so this video truly helped a family in need. God bless!

You are a good friend, Sir. I have quite the oil leak and by watching KZbin videos I was able to change the valve cover gasket, spark plugs and PCV valve. I still have an oil leak. After watching this video, I'm basically feeling kind of screwed. I do not have the means, or the proper tools, to do this job myself. I pray your friend knows and appreciates what you've done for her. 💯🙌

@@-_-abk You are not wrong! This is quite the story, so bear with me - you may even be sorry you asked. 😂 I despise going to the dealership because I feel like they take you for all you have, but I decided to take advantage of the fact that I needed my oil changed and that they would have it on a lift and would be very interested in the oil leak. I told the lady up front that I knew it had an oil leak, I just needed them to change the oil and rotate my tires. There was some confusion (gasp! 😱) and when I picked up my car they charged me for a diagnostic fee to find the oil leak. I'll save you the drama from all that only to say I did NOT pay that fee. They narrowed it down to the timing cover gasket and spool valve. You'll love this also, they gave me a total of $4,511.21 worth of repairs that needed to be done to my vehicle. Seven of the items listed were listed as maintenance. Four were listed as repairs and then there was an additional line for a new battery at $221.50 because my battery failed the test. (**Very dramatic eye roll**) Needless to say, I ordered my parts and got right on it! 😂🙌💯

I used this video to replace the clutch on my 2006 Accord. This video is excellent and describes all the steps perfectly. I did the work with the car on jack stands and also used the jack to support the transmission once everything was unbolted. The only major problem I ran into was rusty nuts/studs on the (2) engine mounts that sit on top of the sub frame, had to drill them out. Total time to complete was about 16-18 hours. Thanks for the great video!

I'm probably going to finish in about the same amount of time. Also a 2006 accord. I had a really difficult time getting the transmission back in. I was also doing this with jack stands and just a regular floor jack. To get the transmission back in, I used the floor jack, and a second bottle jack to get it positioned just right. Then I put in two of the bolts and used them to draw the transmission the last 1/4" onto the engine.

Used this video to successfully complete my first solo clutch replacement and I am super duper grateful for you taking the time to make it, share it and walk the viewer through the entire process step by step from beginning to end. Thank you! Every car has its own quirks so had to be flexible with what was actuality possible on my own 2005 accord but your base of information was key to understanding what needed to be done to finish the job correctly. Wise man once said, you can do it right, or you can do it again. With your help, I got it right the first time. Much appreciation. Moving forward.

Took me roughly 40 hours Would likely take significantly less if ever had to do it again. Probably. Hopefully. First time through spent a fair amount of time figuring out how to get things done on vehicle. And what tools were needed and acquiring them. Rear main seal wad a pain to remove until realizing it has a metal ring inside of the outer rubber like plastic covering. Once I knew that, came out in 5 min since that info allowed for what could and couldn't be done without damaging anything around it. This video made the entire process possible however. A fantastic baseline from start to finish.

I bought my 2003 Accord EX Coupe in 2020. I started having issues with my clutch almost a year later and it eventually went completely out. I didn't know what to do. Not everyone can afford to put their car in the shop for a clutch replacement. $1400 is just not affordable. So, since I'm slightly mechanically inclined I started looking for videos on how to do it myself. To be entirely honest, the only thing I'd ever changed on a vehicle was the tires, my master cylinder, and my slave cylinder. I hadn't even changed my own oil yet. However I found your video and was able to completely change my clutch BY MYSELF. I have to applaud you and tell you how thankful I am that you created a very thorough video that left me with no question that I was doing it correctly. I have now changed two honda clutches and I'm starting on my 3rd. Thanks so much and keep the videos coming!!!

Bought the seal removal tool that you used and the tabs broke off the fingers first try. I removed the seal ghetto style by first drilling through the metal portion of the seal using a 3/32 bit, then running a #8 sheet metal screw into the seal. I then grabbed screw with a pair of vice grips and use a large screw driver to pry it up while pulling on it.

When I googled this it brought up a clip, let’s call him billy bob. (Stereotype meant) Billy bobs clip was 4 mins for this whole job. I specifically heard him say we greased it all up so it will change gears easier(I agreed with your method leave it as it is), then he said something else country as hell and I was out. Thank god I found your video. Awesome job I can tell it’s going to take me a week myself .😂😂😂

Hello Sir, I saw that you filled the transmissions with oil through a fill plug positioned vertically on the transmission. I have the same car and I filled the transmission through a lateral 17mm fill plug positioned little bit upper than the 3/8 drain plug. I checked the Honda diagrams and indeed there are two 17mm fill plugs on the transmission. However the Honda manual shows in the pictures the fill plug positioned horizontally. Why is that, what is the point of having two fill plugs? I would use the one near the battery like you did because is easily accessible but it is a little further than the horizontally one. Will the oil go in the same compartment, I am a little confused. Thank you

I have a question, what does the starter spin on an automatic version of the K24A4 engine to get the car started, is it a flywheel?

Can this be done a v6 without subframe removal?

Anyone know if you can do this with an automatic transmission without dropping the frame? I would imagine the torque converter may be too big to get in the way to be able to get to the main seal?
