It's not a bad job you may run into a hiccup like I did but hopefully not lol Since the axles going into the transmission, and the transmission itself, are made of metal, the axle seal houses a flexible seal that rides on the axle and keeps gear oil in, and crud out. The flexible seal uses a small amount of the gear oil in conjunction with the seal itself to achieve this task.

that's interesting you have a dip stick for the transmission. my 06 base model doesn't. that's about the only thing I don't like about it.

there is no difference in the type of axle on the drivers side between the manual transmission and automatic right? it's only on the passenger side where there is a different? I could not find any online retailer that specified any difference between a manual transmission and automatic transmission on the drivers side. however, if you start looking to buy the passenger side axle, then all the auto parts store websites have one axle for the manual transmission and one axle for the automatic transmission........I think.

Hey I changed my brakes and rotors and is still getting a vibration when I brake at low speeds. My cv boots look fine as well. What could be the problem?

Warped rotors are normally what cause that but also sticking or stuck calipers!!! you just put new Rotors on and checked cv boots so I'm thinking your Calipers need some attention!! Let me know how you make out and thanks for watching!👍

Wish I could, I sold that vehicle a couple years ago, alot of my videos are delayed about a year since I have so many and editing! But its really simple just check your transmission dip stick level and add fluid if needed back in that same Dipstick hole!!!Thanks for watching!

Hi, just wanted to ask because I think this may be the problem with my nissan: what could cause this to happen, what was the sounds you were hearing before you fixed it and could the cv axel be making the car shake at higher speeds? (Like 55mph-60mph) My car was in a accident and I know the front alignment is off slightly but me and my dad have been thinking it’s the cv on driver side because of the sounds and shaking. If you can’t tell what the problem could be (because I’m not a mechanic and don’t describe these things well) that’s totally fine too just wanted to ask, thank you for this amazing instructional video.

If you can jack the front up and put your hands at the 9 and 3 position and try to shake the tire back and forth also do this at the 12 and 6 position! If it moves you could have a bad wheel bearing or ball joint!! If you have no play then move on and inspect, your cv axle if you are driving do you hear a clicking noise, also a clunking noise when accelerating ?look for worn parts or torn rubber if so replace! I hope this helps good luck!!
