This repair is near impossible to perform on the car without the Hub Grappler. Thanks Jim for a full demonstration and repair.

Your right it is easier with the hub grappler. Back before the OTC Hub Grappler you needed a press to do them.

Since I don't own a car like this I skipped ahead but I picked up on a few tips. I like the race splitting tip using the wide chisel. I always watch and learn something here, thanks Jim and see you soon. Can't wait. :)

I have several OTC pullers. Great American tools. Hydraulic press with the right apparatus works great, too, but you'll need a lathe to machine the parts you'll need.

An involved bearing R&R, but so many newer cars have this style now. I sure do miss the old days of being able to clean and repack the bearings during brake rotor service.

That is a complicated job and you made it sound so easy. The kits you have for replacing the bearing is great, and I would want one if I was doing work on vehicles all the time.

It looks easy but remember I have done thousands of them but with this kit from OTC its a lot easier.

One of the little retaining screws got stripped bad so instead of drilling it out (I was already replacing the whole wheel/bearing and knuckle assembly with everything pressed) I just got a rotor, slapped it onto the assembly, and just bolted it on after the old one came off!

Why does my honda accord 2010 only 60k such low mileages but already have a bad wheel bearing?
@gr8benjie

Thanks for showing the how to’s to replace it. But i have a question. Do you really need to align the wheels after you replace it? As i’ve seen it you did not require wheel alignment as replaced.

hello I know this video Is quite old but I was wondering which otc kit was used for this bearing replacement? I specifically own an 09 honda accord and was curious which otc kit to purchase or which would be best to purchase in general I could bring the vehicle to a shop but I much prefer diy!

After seeing this they need to just make the entire assembly even if it’s expensive it will save so much time

How much would you charge for this job ? ......because the otc 6575 is about 500 dollars. Is there any other, more affordable tool option for this same job?

Why can't you remove the the hub and the bearing at the same time if they come out in the same direction and replace them both?
@singhsarabjit
@singhsarabjit 3 жыл бұрын
Because of snap ring, which is between bearing and hub.
