. I own a 02 Buick Regal LS, and had the issue of gas gauge going wonky, the car then not starting. checked out he fuel pump and noticed the fuel level sending unit gauge was worn out. Instead of spending money I didnt need to spend, I replaced it and that was it. going on 3 years I believe, and still no problems. Great video by the way.

4:55 Did you put that ring back without pulling plugs out? Because I didn't see you plug them back in. And I was wondering about that part lol. 😂

viewers do yourself a favor and hack off those two 2 inch extensions on the metal ring. the new wider clip will not fit between them when the ring is reinstalled. you can sort of see that where the video ends

In your video, you didn't plug in the connectors. Would've been "extremely" helpful, to let us know about the PITA 2 metal bosses, sticking up in the way of the new modified connection. They never make it easy.

How did you get it to fit
@joequillun7790 Жыл бұрын
@@jordanjones21 You have-ta die-grind off the 2 metal bosses sticking up, in the way of the new connector in the kit. Seems "all" replacement pumps require this micky mouse fix.
@Dubblesteel3 жыл бұрын
That rubber ring that goes around the fuel has to come out too, in order for the pump the slide out. Thanks for keep your camera rolling and not just showing the new pump appearing back in there.

lean the back seats down it's easier to get to the pump, also some aftermarket pump seal rings are a taller profile which makes the tank lock ring unable to be put back if the old seal (though not recommended) is still good reuse it on the replacement assembly or you'll never get the lock ring to seat . I had to do this on my 2000 ls regal and had to reuse the pump seal on the new pump which was still good though I got a new OEM AC Delco pump
@davidboyd91953 жыл бұрын
older parts were still good no issues with it , that happen to be reoccurring from the new fuel pump module assembly being installed 👌🤘
