Simply to the point ! But I see those bottles are still there , I might go out on a limb and say those are going to be vintage pretty soon ! That filter is really a good point about changing it , I have ran across alot of people not knowing that it's even a screen filter there ( on the order Becket models they are in the motor housing and more of a wrap than a disc , so when they get the symptoms of a flooding ( more flame in the fire chamber that keeps burning after shutdown ) it's usually the same thing as with the build up of the grud inside , trust me in 45 years of service I have seen just about everything ! So when it gets plugged up , they just turn up the pressure until something gives ! Great video of course ! Most anything you do now is basically common sense ! I have seen the filters so plugged up that the only thing you can do is replace the whole pump because that grud getting on the power props really can do some damage to the whole system ! Where I live there's a whole lot of old farm homes and 97.8% are the old style Beckett's ! Is it just yours you have serviced ? Another point is ? You should have a patreon account with the videos ! Waiting for you to pull out the gun , I bet it's so clean you could shoot beers through it ! PS @ least polish up the bottles in the background lol ! What solution is best to clean the screen with without damaging the o ring?

Changing the strainer and O ring. You shouldn't clean the existing one, you should get a brand new one.

Do not follow this Video entirely. I am a Riello Manufacturing Rep. On that newer pump you do not use the cork gasket only the o-ring or you will create a vacuum leak. The cork gasket is made for the older mectron pump without the dimple in the cover

i opened mine up to replace pump screen and there was a cork gasket only, no o ring (even though clearly an o ring groove). should there be both? my boiler has never had any issues but i'd like to avoid any if possible. my boiler is 20 years old but my pump cover looks like the one in the video. not sure how long ago the switch happened.

Great video! You may have solved my “pulsing” problem with my burner. Please watch this video of my Beckett trying to start kzbin.info/www/bejne/jHi7fWeGpbysaas It doesn’t do it every time. Most of the clanging noise is from the damper door and view door. It a Suntec AV2A7116 and has an external solenoid mounted on it. It only happens on start up. Thank you in advance for your help!!
