Instead of replacing the bulb, Can the whole fixture be temporarily removed? looking for wires to connect a radar detector to the rear view mirror.

@@DraftProject thanks. I haven’t done it yet as I was looking into upgrading my radar detector. but this helps a lot. I’ll start poking wires soon and looking how to wire it up.
