How to replace bank 2 Catalytic converter on Aura TL and Honda Accord 2003 to 2007 v6

When you get a P0420 code, which Catalytic converter needs to be cleaned up, the one in the front or the back? I have a 2005 Acura TL. I already used Laquer Thinner and CataClean, but none worked for me. I plan to do it straight from one of the 02 sensors ports. Is the front catalytic converter causing the code or the rear one?

Well when I scan the car it will tell u which bank 1 or 2. That will be the only way to know

@@RBTheMechanic Hi, after cleaning the catalytic converter and clearing the code by removing the negative battery cable, I drove the car for almost 500 miles, but the system is still not ready for inspection. I went to the inspection site and that’s what I was told. Does that mean there’s a chance the problem may not have been fixed and that the code might come back as soon as the system is ready?

Great video! But I do have a question was the first oxygen sensor you took off the bank 2 senor 1? I'm trying to change mine I got the code P0154

Bank 2 is front of the car near the radiator sensor one is the first one and sensor 2 is the one down lower foot down

Nice video, I have a question, I'm not really sure which is bank2 sensor2 I got a p0158 code. Is bank2 sensor2 in front of the radiator bottom or by the fire wall?

Just spent 45 minutes wondering what I was doing wrong when I finally noticed you have 3 out of the 4 studs taken out. Can’t get the heat shield past those studs if you don’t take them out. Only taking this cat out because the studs on the bottom sheared off on me during my jpipe replacement so I am NOT trying to mess with more studs. Just thought I would point that out for fellow viewers, it’s not coming out with those studs still in

I wouldn’t do that it’s illegal in NJ not sure ur state could get fined and arrested when going though inspection all depends on state and laws where u live

I don’t have name I do show part number and u just heat time for 10-30 seconds

That oil pump needs work or the cam seals either or...has alot of oil under the motor...i have the 2005 v6

I did this exactly and when I finished the sensors were smoking and the car runs and drives but randomly stalls out and turns off I didn’t have gasket glue I’m guessing that’s it and maybe the sensors aren’t all the way tight idk

Bank 2 is so easyyyyy 40 minute job with my instructions. Just need done tools and torch u can buy one for $40. Why would they tell u to go to dealer

@@keyonwilliams9016shops hate these accords for some reason, when they say they can’t do it just know it’s because they’re lazy or not confident in their work.. the shop always turns my car down cause they don’t work on “foreign” cars 😂😂💀 I just figure it out myself all the time and nothing has been not doable for me and I don’t have many tools, this car is easy 👍
