Swapped my filters last week and sweet baby Jesus, there were so many pine needles and so much dirt and dust. It was absolutely disgusting. Van warms up so much faster now and the airflow is much more apparent and strong. Thank you so much for this.

Quick tip: unscrew the bottom of the glovebox first, and then you should be able to just pull the whole thing out without unclipping the knobs.

Replacing the cabin air filter on the more newer Honda's are very easy. Just unhook the glove box and lower it, remove the plastic cover or pull out the plastic tray(depending on the Honda model) that's behind the glovebox, remove the old filter, and install the new filter with the arrow facing down.

As a Honda technician, I can tell you that the Odyssey in the video and the 03-08 Pilot which shares the same filter as the 99-04 Odyssey only has one filter. The grid that you may have saw is part of the heater box and it's not removable unless you take apart the actual heater box itself. Some Honda model did have two filters though. That will be the 98-02 Accord, 02-05 Civic, 02-06 CR-V, and the 03-11 Element.

Great Video. But ridiculous design of Honda. Fucking honda made it so complicated that you will say good bye and take it to the dealer to change cabin filter, that's what they want. Air filter is very simple and easy. That's how it should be.
