Great video. If you don't have the money to buy the kit you can use a cut off click pen for the tapered dohickey thing and piece of hose and a hose clamp to shrink seals.

Good video! I also found the teflon seal not shrink enough shrink enough using the taper. Did you end up putting back the injectors using the hammer tool hitting in?
@GarageKing2 жыл бұрын
Hey there, and thanks for the comment !! I didn't use the hammer to push them back and, and would say not to do that. I was able to just push them in by hand. It was not that hard either. I think the holes in the cylinder are tapered so that helps with pushing the fuel injector back in.

@@GarageKingThx your reply! I just done one injector and found it hard to put back in. And finally using the hammar tool hit it serval time with little power. I am thinking use the zip tie to shrink it more on second one.
@GarageKing2 жыл бұрын
@@edwardhung6432 I would be careful with the zip tie as it may pinch the seal. I might work, I'm not too sure. I know when I did the set on the Audi, I kept using the reducer cone over and over until it was loose (seal shrunk as much as it could) then I used another reducer that would not fit initially. The seal was still a bit loose at the end (moved easily with fingers) but it went in pretty easy. Make sure you are stepping down to the smallest reducer you can use.

I wouldn't worry about the seals binding if you can't shrink them... the recepticle for the injector nozzle is tapered. As long as the seal can't slip up the injector, it will squeeze down.

Very good to know thank you

So I bought "reman" injectors and my old ones had 2 Teflon seals at the tip and the remans they sent only have 1, but the groove is there for the other one, it's just missing. Will I be ok or do my injectors NEED both seals at the tip?
@GarageKing Жыл бұрын
If you have the groove I would get another seal. They may have forgot to send you the seals. Normally I see two on the top (above the electrical connector) one is the rubber, and one plastic, then at the bottom 1 teflon seal. This injector was from an Audi Q3. Maybe you have a GM that needs two. Anyway I would put two on as you definitely don't want it leaking.

Hello and thank you! I’m a mechanic working in Nunavut and was wondering if that kit would work on 2019 F150 3.3? I’m in a hurry and Amazon is the quickest lol - thank you!!

Hey there and thanks for the comment. Hope you are doing well in Nunavut !!!! I'm not sure if it would work on the Ford 3.3L but its pretty versatile, and its the cheapest kit that I found. It wasn't perfect for the Audi fuel injector (that was the one in the video) but I managed to make it work. It doesn't have to be perfect, just enough to shrink it down.

would this kit work on a 2016 mazda 3 2.0?

Hi There, I'm not sure, but I would think so as it has a the different adaptors so you can fit many sizes.
