Thanks for the video, I just Changed a pump on a Chevy. Was way easier. About to do a 2006 Ram. Looked here to see if any pulleys had to come off so I had an approximate timeline. I really like how you streamlined video showing what needed to come off and good explanation along with instruction. Fantastic. A tip I found on here a few years ago that I use to this day, which you may or may not approve. I use an SDS Max electric hammer with a chisel point to remove fan. The impact knocks it loose with a couple of taps. The one I seen used an air chisel. All the times I have had to remove fans no air available but electric was. You just need to be sure your going in C-clockwise angle and be careful in case of slippage. No holding anything from turning. Belt and compression hold well enough. The Impacts alone loosen. Tighten same way. Sorry for long rant, just figured it may help those that didn't have the tools but access to an impact type chisel. GREAT Channel!!!

The fan clutch was really tight. I sprayed nockerloose on the connection, I used vice grips on the water pump pulley to lock in place and put a pipe wrench on the bolt. The video helped a lot.

Why did you choose Murray? Warranty? OEM is very exspensive. Heard after market NOT Reliable. Why not upgrade to Electric Water Pump?
@FalconsGarage5 жыл бұрын
That’s what the customer chose from what was available from the parts store. As far as am electric water pump those are usually mainly used for high horsepower applications. A mechanical one will always be more reliable.
