Many thanks for posting this video. Can't beleive how difficult Bosch make this process. I saved a little work by only removing one side panel and lifting out the water tank. Remove two torx screws on the outside, and two grey plastic caps from the inside. I didn't disconnect the inlet pipe. The only downside is that all the water ends up on the floor because there is no easy way to catch it. So have plenty of towels ready. And when refitting, ensure you tip the machine on it's side to get rid of any water in the undertray else the anti-flood system will stop the machine working. And I should add that I fixed an integrated Bosch Super Silent plus dishwasher.

My God!!! Thank you Bosch for making what should be a seemigly simple procedure so Damn awkward with a hundred steps! I suggest in future that you design the waste pipe to be easily disconnected from the reverse of the machine without having to take the entire dishwasher apart!

Stop the video at 3:01 the hose on the right is the drain hose. Remove left panel from the front to access. Fix new hose to old at back of machine gently pull through, then re-attach. Job done, machine in one piece only need to remove left panel!

That’s a different model of a Bosch dishwasher in your video. On the machine in my video the hose is clipped to the bottom base of the dishwasher and makes it really hard to unclip with out removing bottom base or the heat exchanger. But if the heat exchanger is removed, all the seals in most cases have to be replaced because they start to leak. On this model it is impossible to simply unclip and clip the drain hose back in with our removing the base or the heat exchanger.

@@ApplianceFault I have this model. Are you saying I should replace the seals when I replace the drain hose? Is there a video on this?

Thank you so much for this video! I wouldn’t have figured out how to remove the bottom plate of the dishwasher without it.

This was great! I have a Kenmore Elite MOD 630.13993012 with error code E24. After checking drainage and drain motor, I knew I had to replace the motor. Got one from amazon for $35 USD ( Bosh model compatible with my Kenmore)! The problem was getting to the motor inside the dishwasher (They built this as a bunker and was impossible to figure out how to open the bunker without a video). Your video was the only one I found just before giving up and wasting $600 usd for a repair. TY so much for giving to the community!!!

Super helpful video - thank you! I own a Bosch SHV4303 and while my unit was different this video was extremely helpful in walking me through the steps to replace the drain hose. I estimate it saved me around $600 in repair service costs. Thanks!

Very helpful video thank you. My machine has all torx headed screws. My model is different once you get to the base but your video got me that far and back again. I had to unclip some components before lifting the base sufficiently to replace the waste pipe. I didn't remove the base completely as the access cover at the back had a fill pipe connector attached that stopped the base lifting away cleanly, removing it would be even more work. The fill pipe had an external screw fitting on my model, it's a pity the drain pipe didn't have an external connector as well. There was also a heavy weight under the cover that had to be positioned correctly when refitting the cover.

Thank you for the video. Two comments: 1. You didn't show how to remove the top. That can be tricky. 2. The video title is "Bosch", but the label on the machine clearly says "Siemens". A little research shows that both were owned by B/S/H from 1967 until 2014, when Bosch bought out Siemens' 50% stake in the joint venture. Interesting trivia 😜

How did you remove the top? Should start by the biginning...

So helpful. Unfortunately I booked a plumber today who had no idea how to do this and said it wasn't replaceable and was cheaper to buy a new one, and the company still insist on charging me almost £100 for the 2-minute visit!!! Cowboys everywhere...

You know it's a poorly designed dishwasher when you have to take the door apart to replace a hose that connects in the back of the unit. Was this engineered by Volkswagen?
@louisarsenault45992 жыл бұрын
You made it so complicated. I did it half the time and I didn’t have to disassemble everything.

There ain't no way you have to do all that to get to that drain hose
@MJWPub3 жыл бұрын
Yep - the old 'designed' to break 'flexible' hose, cracks after a couple of years as soon as you move it and the end somewhere in the guts of the machine! :(
