Easy 5-minute fix? Thanks to this video, less than 5 minutes. Valve shut off, flushed, quarter turn and pulled right out, flipped the gasket, put it back in place, and the leak is gone. I expect to have another 15 years out of it. The first video I found on 2-stage flush valves talked about removing the tank altogether; I'm glad I kept looking and found this!

Okay, plumber installed all new float valve and dual flush plunger valve, seal, bolts and washers. Now, almost every hour or two, the toilet fills for a few seconds. No exterior leaks. I dont know if its bad parts, or one of many adjustments needed on one of the parts. How does one isolate the problem?
@weekendhomeprojects11 ай бұрын
Sorry, just saw this message. Did you end up figuring out the problem? My guess is bad parts or bad install. If it's loosing water then it's getting around the seal somehow, either the seal is damaged or not seated properly.
