Just a note after more thought this seal would probably work on 9.9-15HP styles also and many others that have the aluminum lower pan design with the seal on the cover and even imported outboards possibly

Thanks Kodi I really like this way of replacement and the cost at around $15.00 and some even less is very fair. Hmmm trunk seals that sounds good too and especially when its free...Im somewhat cheap too...HA!

Thats is a very helpful tip for people replacing the old cowl rubber seal. Especially on those smaller 70's motors for a reasonable price. I have used 1/16 rubber edge trim before without the 90 degree $15.00 cdn for 10 feet on Amazon.

Yes I feel its a great way to repair like original more then any other type of seal. These seals are after market. Im not sure how good the quality of rubber is that they are made of seems okay. I do alot of old 70S outboards and most of the covers need seals. Thanks for your comment & stay tuned.....

Cool! That seal issue is something I have never been able to resolve, usually end up just finding a better cover...

@@donk499 Thats great charging $100 for the correct seal is just plain outright greedy. Going to stock some of these myself thinking about it. Glad I helped thats why in part I do my channel...Stay Tiuned..
