For some reason i'm having real trouble lining up the torq screw for the lock... i cannot seem to get it to line up again. Any ideas?

What happens is the door handle gets stuck on the out position

Ok I know this is an old thread, I am trying to do this now and the lock wont pop out so I can get the new handle in. my old one broke off in my hand the other day. any ideas?

Let me throw a couple tips in as I just did this. 1) Gently pull those thin plastic trims away from the vehicle, clean them then treat them with AT303 or another plastic restore product 2) before reassembly - use some polishing compound around the door handle and in the round sunken area behind the handle - follow up with your favorite polish. Reassemble as shown.

I closed the latch on the side of the door and now the door will not close. How do I reset the latch in order to close the door?

When you pull the handle over, it pulls the entire interior assembly out. Hard nope, this is a garabage design. Extremely difficult, if not impossible procedure, and I've been working on Nissans for 15 years.
