What gets changed about the alignment when this is done? Or because you're replacing it and it's worn, it may be at a different position so now you have to recalibrate it to the new height?

My front strut is too long what do I do

In a modern car there would have been 5 more sensors to take off and the engine would have to removed for some reason.

Looks pointless to remove the abs sensor.
