I had no problem removing the ice chute place but once I reinstalled the motor, the chute plate will not seat properly. It seems to be 1/4 inch too high. I have even removed and reinstalled the motor thinking it was installed improperly. No luck. Any suggestions ??

Maybe try reinstalling the original motor to see if it fits correctly with the original motor?

My ice shoot plate does not have screws. Just I just pull it off? It seems stuck

If you press the dispenser and you hear noise but get no ice, would the auger motor be the problem?

It could be the motor, but usually if the motor is making noise it is working. Try seeing if you can run it with the door open by holding down the door switch so you can inspect what is and is not working. The problem could also be something wrong with the ice bucket or the drive shaft that goes between the motor and the ice bucket.

​@PartsDr my motor makes sounds and it doesn't dispense ice. Do u think I only need to replace the ice bucket? My husband dissaembled the ice bucket i'm wondering if it wasn't put back in the right place that's why it wouldn't turn

I replaced the motor and the auger is still not working. Any suggestions?

If yours has separate ice and water paddles, check the ice paddle. Also, check for broken wires coming out of the top of the door. In some cases it could also be caused by a bad main control board that sends power to the auger motor.

Absolute garbage. Im on 2nd motor, 3rd led light, freezer evap motor. Whirlpool complained about Samsung flooding market with junk washers. This is junk
