This video shows you how to install new, quality TRQ ball joints on your 2005-2015 Toyota Tacoma. Car and truck suspensions combine a number of moving parts for safe and stable handling. The ball joint is the crucial moving component that ties those parts together. The ball-in-socket joint can wear out and loosen over time. Or, the rubber protective boot can tear, allowing contaminants to seize the joint. Bad ball joints are a common failure point on vehicle inspections because they lead to unsafe driving conditions. Fortunately, they are relatively easy to replace with the right know-how.
This repair was done on a 2010 Toyota Tacoma Base 2.7L Standard Cab Pickup 2-Door 4WD Manual and the process should be similar on the following vehicles:

Ball joints with zerk fittings will allow you to grease the ball joints thus lasting longer. Also, you shouldn’t cut off the cotter pins ends.

What size ball joint press is that and where do you get one? Autozone and Advance Auto don’t have the right size with their loaner tool sets

When you arrive at the torque value, you break it ONCE. That's all you need. Also, you should always install new cotter pins, everytime you bend them it weakens the metal and makes them prone to fail. Don't be skimping out on the small stuff!!!

Torque 203ft lb on the 35mm axle nut? I thought it’s 173ft lb.
