Loosen the bolts on both sprockets before removing the chain. 👍

I just bought a 2000 zx6r same color scheme as yours, only difference is you’re chain guard also has a rear fender attached all in one. My bikes chain guard doesn’t have the fender piece, only covers the chain.

That carbon hugger was on when I bought it but it is aftermarket. Hope you enjoy your new bike.

Holy F. Did you just remove the front sprocket nut with pliers?? And without a chain on. Jesus. Mine is stuck on there like its welded.

Ha, maybe I just got lucky? Not sure if I showed in the video or not but is there a washer that is folded against the nut that needs prising back first?

Asides from that my bike only has 13k miles on it but def needs a carburetor clean it’s super rough in 1st and 2nd I’m just not educated on bikes like you so I’m going to have to take it in unfortunately

I have stripped the carbs about 3 times over the years but as long as it’s not left too long between running it, they shouldn’t need stripping down. I’m no expert though but just prefer to DIY.
