Time to strip down my Abarth 595 and see exactly what needs doing.

I really do not know what damage lurks beneath so time to strip it down.
I have a huge struggle with the lower control arm which i find much harder to remove than I thought.

Good progress. Very satisfying getting a new wing on. Hate those bottom arms. Much easier to get off with a powered impact wrench. Didn’t know about the different bottom arms, thought they were the same.

Thanks, a bit slow at the moment waiting for a bumper and associated trim. I definitely need an impact wrench for sure. Looking forward to cleaning it though - I think it will look really well.

An impact drill is handy and also a breaker bar as well. Get a good branded impact as they do tend to last longer. I have a big Dewalt one as I had a defender so had to deal with some big rusty nuts and bolts. You have to be careful with it on smaller nuts and bolts. And make sure it is switch to undo when you undo a nut or bolt. I learnt that lesson 🙄

Ah yes a breaker bar! Dewalt would be a good idea as already got the batteries and charger.

I bought MAKITA DTW1002Z a few years ago & torque is adjustable, once you have one you wonder how you managed without it. I use makita impact driver for smaller bolts.
