This video shows how easy it is to replace number plate light bulbs on Volkswagen Sharan (7N model). Also can be applied to its twin brother - Seat Alhambra.

Can you do a tutorial on how to remove the tailgate interior plastic trim at all, I've tried removing the number plate bulb housing today successfully but i don't seem to have enough wire slack for the bulb housing to drop out.

Can you disconnect bulb housing or is it too short? Can you access the bulb at all? I will do the video, as soon, as I can, but I can't guarantee when... Meanwhile, I can tell you what you need to do - pry out top bit of window frame, then 2 pieces of trim on a sides of the window, then on the big bottom trim remove emergency triangle and take out 4 screws - 2 behind triangle and 2 inside handles/pockets. If your back door is electric, you'll need to remove button as well. Is it electric? Then you pry out whole trim (carefully :) ). Thanks, for the info yes the tailgate is electric. The housing comes out but just enough to change bulb but not able to detach the housing from the wire clip. I will watch your other vlog, of you get chance please do a tutorial on removing the plastic trim. Appreciate your input, Merry Christmas!

Problem occurred with bulb coming on and off sometimes and bringing up electrical management light, managed to trace it back to number plate bulb. Thanks for all your help, Cheers.

I'll have to make another video first, before I'll make the one for the trim. You see, one company that sells diagnostics devices has sent me one of their product in exchange for a video review. I got the device already, so I kind of owe them a video. I'll have to do that first, and then trim. Considering that I never have any time (I'm 7 days taxi driver, and even now I type this from my car :) ) As long as you are able to change the bulb, I think we have some time. Thanks, I would love to install LED bulbs, but out of all I tried, even if they are claiming to be "canbus" - none of them worked in my VW.

Where is the fuse for the rear number plate in a seat Alhambra 2014?

I'm not sure they have specific fuse for number plate light as all lights controlled by canbus. If bulb replacement doesn't help, I would check connections and wiring.
