You were so clear. You made it look so easy which I know it's not gonna be but thank you for being so clear and straight to the point but with enough details

I'm doing this exact same job on my 2004 Hyundai that I just got and your video gave me the confidence to do this this is the simplest shock setup I've ever seen and I was also very happy that the part was only $135 I think I'm going to keep this car a long time it's easy to work on its cheap parts are readily available

tightening the bolts for silent blocks must be done when the wheel hub is in a position as if the car was standing assembled on a flat surface; to do this, jack up the brake disc. If this is not done, the silent blocks will quickly fail. I didn't see it in this video, unfortunately.

500 at astronomical most hard to get part rusted don't normally work on these for it to even be $500 for the whole job including the part it would have to be the worst circumstances you ever see aligne to charge $500 for this job

Hi Mr. Kitoko. Great video on this repair. Will you please provide the part number for the bolts that secure the rear upper control arm to the shock/strut assembly? Thank you.

@@KITS_Auto_and_Truck_Repair Okay. I was able to find a set at LKQ. I have soaked the shock bolt with PB Blaster (2:00) and let it sit 30+ minutes, but it will not loosen even as I hold the nut to the right of it. Will it hurt anything if I just screw the bolt and the nut out? I should be able to separate them once I get them off the car.

Nicely done and very clear! Almost identical to on my '02 XG350L which I did last weekend. I'm sure you did it, but I would emphasize that you should hand tighten the mounting bolts a good way before wrenching. They're easy to cross thread. One question. How do you dispose of the old struts?
@KITS_Auto_and_Truck_Repair2 жыл бұрын

THANK YOU for the video! I'd done the "quick struts"/"complete struts" on the front of our 04 Hyundai Sonata base, but opted to go with replacing the struts, bellows, mounting hardware "old school", WITHOUT the complete assembly....(which, I NOW regret, as now, 2yrs later - too late to return the parts - I CAN'T seem to find the coil springs for the rear at a reasonable price....costs as much as had I just gotten the entire assembly...🤦🏻♂️🤷🏻♂️). ANYWAY, (my question is) with the help of a spring compressor tool, is it much more difficult to replace the struts & hardware, once the assembly is removed from the vehicle? Appreciate your time & assistance! Thanks! #SUBSCRIBED
