Wondering if you have a video to do 2008》 accord rear strut as the rear seat valence and parcel shelf look a little different
@eddiewardsautogaming90966 ай бұрын
For everyone whining about the scratches on the lip of the fender look at 7:56. They took the time before finishing the video to repair any scratches they made. Stuff happens. She could have opted to do this the easy way using power tools or asking for a second hand. Instead she did the job the same way most people in their driveway would do it. That way they dont have unrealistic expectations of how difficult the job is. She did a wonderful job. 1A auto always mkae top notch videos!!
@Bustafunny2 жыл бұрын
@7:39 chipped the paint on the inside top of the wheel opening arch by forcing the new strut in without providing enough clearance first. Looked like one of the studs was making contact. Use a little more leverage by gripping the pry bar farther out on the handle to get sufficient clearance. Never force it in.

Hi, I enjoy watching your repair videos! Have a question. If I buy rear shocks only(not assembly) for my Acura RL, do you think I can just reuse and transfer parts such as: plastic boot, washers, bump stop and upper shock mount OR at the very least, which part do you recommend replacing?
@thathatchguy2 жыл бұрын
I can understand that you're probably wanting to save money but honestly it's worth it just to buy the whole assembly for the simple fact of saving you the time and hassle of going through the old assembly just to reuse those parts. But again if you don't mind doing the work then yeah you can reuse those parts but it's also not recommended.

@jakeamato67614 жыл бұрын
I'm sure you don't need this info 3 months later, but you're better off buying quick struts (they are the shock with a new spring already put together). A good replacement set (I like KYB) costs more, but you'll save a ton on labor cost. You'll have new shocks AND springs for less than the shocks alone.

Good video on how to get to the top of the strut but I just did the same job only removed the upper control arm on the side closest to the tire and the strut came out and went in no prob without the damaged fender. It's clear there was a little damage weather big or small the customer expected the job done right without any extra damage to their car. Definitely not a professional job
