@richimaor97 Technically you can install the mirrors but most likely you will need to make some other provision for lighting the puddle lamps. It is possible your truck is wired for the puddle lamps and they will work but I would not bet on it.

Normally both sides have a puddle lamp but to double check you can contact a dealer with your vehicle VIN and they will be able to tell you exactly what options you had on your vehicle.

The doors are different between the 2001 and 2002 because they changed the body styles.

There may be a few different thing to remove on the door panel so that you can access the bolts.

I contacted 1A about a problem with video info: does not apply to 2010 Ford Explorer! Pull Close Handle below armrest is removed to release panel; My Explorer, 2010 EddieBauer, has no such handle but instead the pull is in the armrest twd outer edge, ie right edge on pass door. I have no idea how to finish removing my half-off panel .

+William McGlinchey If that arm rest is securing the door panel to the door, there should be a couple of screws that secure the armrest to the door. There may be a couple of caps hiding them, or they may be accessible from under the arm rest. Hope this helps you out. 1aauto.com

+DOPR Dragon The process should be similar if your 92 model has the paddle style mirror instead of the swing lock design, however there may be separate locations of the mounting bolts for the door panel. 1aauto.com

Thank you! You saved me a huge headache and at least $100. Unfortunately the part I order, although it fits perfectly, did not have the puddle light so the power mirror plugs weren't compatible. So I'm just going to have to hand adjust it from now one. If you're replacing yours, make sure you correctly order the right part!
