Thank you. On the harder to get to top starter bolt, is there any ground / earth cable?

Some times there is a ground/earth cable on the top bolt that's on the earlier ones some of the newish ones have a earth cable on the bottom bolt. The one I did, didnt have an earth cable. The earth cable was on the gearbox on this one

How did you get the cable off the bracket I've tried but don't want to force it as it will snap . The o2 sensor clip no probs just the cable on the bracket Thanks

What size are the main bolts holding the starter on? I know the nuts are 10mm and 13mm

They should be 13mm

It should be on the starter it self. If the solenoid messes up you might as well replace the complete starter motor,

Useful video. Just want to add a comment as no engine size is given. The Haynes manual says you have to temove wheel arch liner and alternator. You can change starter motor on Corsa C 1.2 from underneath without doing this. Temoving bracket holding lamda sensor wiring in place gives enough room to get it out. Top bolt holding starter motor in is difficult to get at but by deel and using a morror hou can get to it. Small terminal on solenoid 10mm, large terminal on solenoid 13mm. Starter bolts 13mm. Just added this comment as I couldn't find an answer to whether you had to do all the dismantling Haynes suggests. Whether theres enough room to do it without following Haynes on the 1.0 as engine block is shorter i don't know.

I dont know what Haynes says I have never read Haynes in my life. But the best way to do it is from the bottom
