Anyone attempting this, be aware that, especially if you live in northern climates, be prepared to have issues with the back of sway bar link bolt. From all the salt, the back was completely corroded and rusted on and there was nothing to grab on to to remove the bolt. I ended up having to cut both sway bars off and replacing them during this process.

You may not need to remove the brake calipers to remove the struts. We typically shoot a few different videos while making repairs, that's why the calipers are off. If they are in the way then you would need to remove them.

On my wife's G5 the upper of the two bolts holding the strut to the steering knuckle is also used to adjust the wheel alignment. Maybe you could tell the viewers to make it's head to get it back into the same place. Also note that it is a special bolt and needs to be replaced with the same kind of bolt if it's bent or damaged.

Looks like your strut bolts were less tramatic to take off. I've sprayed mine with a can plus of PD Blaster over days then put a 10lb sledge hammer to the threaded end with the bolt on it. Nothing! It simply will not budge. I'm at a loss at this point. If I do get them out, they'll need replaced for sure!

I just replaced my strut assembly on my 08 Cobalt, the video was great and had great detail. I noticed my two bolts for the bottom of the strut were the same and neither was an adjustment bolt for alignment. Is that normal? Thanks in advance

I removed all the the nuts, three on top, one on stabilizer link and two on strut and entire strut assemble won't come down. I was thinking of hammering it down, but haven't done it, worried I'm missing something here. Any suggestions?
