How to replace the front strut assembly on a 2006 Chevy Cobalt

This guy's videos are very helpful. I will however say that he makes it look much easier than it really is. My recent experience with the upper and lower bolts on the stabilizer bars required a handheld grinder to get those bolts off...even with a 18mm wrench, breaker bar, impact wrench...those bolts were NOT coming off. Without this video tho I wouldn't have had the confidence to even try this repair on my own

Thanks Jim, I have just replaced my front left strut assembly and the only difficulty was getting the nut off the sway bar I only have basic tools however having watched your excellent video I persevered and got the job done. Attempting the right in the morning wish me luck😂

Great video. Love the subtle tips like leaving the nuts on while tapping out the bolts, as well as supporting the bolts so you don't strip the splines. Good stuff!

Very well done & explained. Very nice camera work also. Happy to subscribe. I always have trouble after removing the strut nuts & hitting the bolts partially out, getting the rest of the bolt out. Even the last job with the point on my air hammer, I had trouble getting 1 bolt all the way out. Figures yours came right out. That's why you are a pro my friend. Thanks for making the video.

First thing everyone should know, especially if you get a strut to swap your coil springs over is to make sure you get all parts such as bellows, upper and lower insulators(just in case they're torn), strut mounts, and all tools needed. I didn't get the insulators or bellows and now I'm waiting a day with my cobalt up on a jack stand lol.
