I wish we were BFFs LOL! I had to take my car to the Ford Dealership and they diagnosed that the ACM had to be replaced on my 2014 Ford Escape Titanium. My radio has no sound, can't switch radio inputs and voice prompts has no sound. The cost to fix it was $354 parts + $560 labor = $914 YIKES!!! At least it comes with 2 years warranty.

Thank you for this quick tutorial. I replaced my ACM with a unit I found on ebay with the same model number and I now have sound. My problem now is that the sound seems to need to be recalibrated. The volume is SO loud at the lowest setting. Do you know if there is an easy way to change the volume set point or if taking it to the dealer to get it flashed would fix this?

I took this in to the Ford dealership to get it reprogrammed. Apparently, unless they reprogram this part to work with your car (even if it is the same part number/model number/same month/same year), it will not work correctly. It works...just not well.

I just had a new acm put in my 2014 Ford fusion and I thought I would have to reconnect my phone and any setting changes, but it was all the same, even an old phone was still listed and bass and treble settings were unchanged. Does this mean the didnt really replace the acm and only fixed the old one somehow? I paid a lot for a new acm and want to make sure that's what they really did . I had to use a 7mm socket to remove the climate control and radio screen then I was able to get my hand and a screw driver to push the start button out

I dont think so at least when I tried adding a 16 fusion acm on my 17 the function didn't work even after reprogramming it you would need one off a 13 or 14

Well there could be many reasons if your wanting to remove it to upgrade to different one such as the Sony sound system or if you needing to remove it to get a cd that jammed inside or these are known to die where it won't produce sound and another is because these will kill battery to fix the depleted battery it's a software update

Hello Nick, I wanna replace mine because of a static sound coming through the speakers when there's any audio playing. It sounds like quiet white noise. Do you know if replacing it will solve the problem?

I can't guarantee that will fix it is it throughout the whole car or on just one of the door? I wonder if you have some kind of aftermarket parts installed or somthing interfere with it. I never heard of this problem beside I had issue with mine I added the led light on the bottom bumper and when I had the radio on and press the brakes I would get static sound though the speaker because those lights was interfere with the radio

Would the acm be able to turn the radio on with power off key in pocket. Push the power button and radio comes on. Is that normal for these cars. And could i just unhook it and lave it like that til I find one

You can have it where you turn the car off and push the power button and it turns the radio on for a certain time

Hello my part number may differ than your. I would reccomend getting one that matches your part number If the part number is the same then you dont need to program it.

@@erdincccdonmez8444 yes there is a way to change from the 4 in to the 8inch you will need a new radio bezel you will also need a new connector that plugs into the radio screen (I believe they make a conversion for that) the acm should be the same. I believe you have to move some pins around on the sync module. I will see if I can find a link on what you need to do to make that happen. I've never done it my self personally but I've seen people do that

I recently came into the same issue, i orderd an acm off ebay, the seller garrenteed me it was plug and play, the part number were the same besides the last 2 letters..mine was bb, the one i got was bc. The acm works as it should minus sound, there is no sound at all but it shows everything working..my question is is this a programming prob or is it a faulty acm? Thank you

I'm having the exact same issue as previous commenters, 2015 Ford fusion and apparently the ACM is bad and it'll be a 700 dollar fix. I could easily swap the parts out myself but what is this having to reprogram stuff all about? That's where I'm getting confused, but if I don't have to do that then it'd save me a shit ton. Were you saying as long as the new ACM part number matches my broken current one, I shouldn't have to reprogram anything?

Usually if it the same part number matches exactly and came off the same vehicle you dont have to worry about reprogram the module

If you remove the radio there will be a sticker with ford logo on that sticker the right hand side there should be a number like fs7t or hs7t something like that I type in the part number on ebay and look for one that matches my part number and go from there

I can't switch my radio off of AM stations and no audio is coming through speakers. But I'm able to turn the volume up and down with the radio dial. And I can turn it up and down with the control on steering wheel. Just no audio or able to turn from AM to FM.

Your will work from the 2013-2016 ford fusion but I would pull your old one out and get one with the same part number as your old one

I ask because on some sites they say that it does not matter, that the ACM is just for the audio, while another person said that having navigation affects which ACM you need. I ordered the DS7T-19C107-BM from eBay for a 2015-2015 Fusion. The eBay tool also said that it would fit my car, but nothing about navigation etc.

I need help very bad! I have a 2013 Fusion. according to the dealership it has a bad FCIM, they want to charge me over $1000 to have it replaced and reprogramed! I think that is too much, but my radio has the 8'' touch screen with GPS, backup camera and all of that stuff and it is useless, not even coming on at this point. first able where is it located and what does it look like? second, could I use a used one, but how do I get it reprogramed? The fcim is that whole bezel with the climate control and the volume button on it . I would take your off its held in by 2 7mm bolts and off it goes then it does have two connector that plug into it. I would get the part number off your old one and find one that matches your part number. Do you have forscan?
