Thanks for the straightforward video with no fuss or padding and IDing the slightly different screw.

Does the carburetter come automatically adjusted/tuned or does every new carburetter still need adjusting after installed? I’m just wondering if I should change it myself or if I should get a mechanic to change it and tune it right away

They come adjusted so that the machine will start normally/easily, and run. Usually, that winds up being just about perfect. It's important to know that, especially on Stihl machines, like this blower, there can, and typically are, air leaks into the crankcase of the engine, because either the crankshaft seals have failed, or the glued seal of the engine's pan, is leaking. So what may present as a carburetor issue, is actually an engine that needs to be resealed. So a new carburetor isn't needed, and won't fix the issue. My suggestion is to inspect your BR600 in the area on top of the fuel tank, and above that area (behind where the pull starter is located) for black, oily, grit build up. If you find that condition, it means that the pan seal on your engine is leaking, and probably the crankshaft seals are, as well. This creates a difficulty to restart once hot, and dies at idle, condition. Sometimes you can mask this, by adjusting the 2 mixture screws, turning each of them counter-clockwise a small amount, to richen the fuel mixture (add more fuel during running at full speed, and at idle), and then turning the idle screw clockwise a little, in order to get a better idle. This extra fuel supply will sometimes put the machine back to running pretty normally. These machines are 4Mix engines, so they also need their valves adjust once in a while. They won't run right, or start well if the valves are out of adjustment. If you decide to install a carburetor, do not use a cheap replica, because they are junk. The factory 4282 120 0611 carburetors are on ebayUS , as are the 2 special Stihl hex tools that are used to adjust them. But always diagnose first, before throwing parts at anything.

@ OK thanks a lot for your input. I bought this machine used and fired it up and it ran perfect on the scene came home fired it up and ran perfect for like 20 minutes and after that started acting up and would not let me full throttle so after using like 1/3 throttle for another 10 minutes, it got worse and worse, and just died on me Tried cleaning out the carb, etc. now it fires up and runs at 1/3 throttle but as soon as you hit a little bit more it bogs. Not exactly sure if now the carburetter needs some adjusting or what exactly causes it to bog.

@@anikahabermann2822 Exactly. I see this all the time.

@@austinado16 sorry so are you saying that do not replace the carburetter but there is probably something else wrong with it? Or bring it to a mechanic to start diagnosing from square one.?

@@anikahabermann2822 Repair work always begins with proper and thorough diagnostics, in order to avoid unnecessary expense, and labor. In my initial response to you, I listed all of the common failure points of the BR600, not withstanding basic service needs like spark plug, air filter, fuel filters, fuel tank vent.
