How to replace the clutch on a 2014 Chevy spark, with out pulling the engine!!!

Great video! Only tip, axles DO NOT have to come out of the hub, just pop them out and hang them with a ratchet strap. Saves the trouble of having to mess the axle nut 😊

Thanks for this video it was a help. R.E About the drive shafts; Use two screwdrivers 180 degrees apart and wiggle from side to side until it pop's. Even better is the screwdriver type pry bar with the bent end on it. Two of these work great. Also try not to pry on one side of it as it binds it up even worse.

Thank you for the great video, correct model in the description, is very clear. It is so time-consuming having to search through incorrectly named descriptions, such a pleasure to find videos like yours. Makes me want to know more, lol. The question on my mind now is, if the centre clutch bearing is incorrectly seated cause a whine on the gearbox, even a rumble/grind when driven, stops when the clutch pedal is put in?

And should there be a noise when the clutch pedal is up, but stops when you put peddle in?

if you have a rumble noise it sounds like a bearing of some sort, usually I wheel bearing makes this kind of noise

Right now my Chevy Spark 2013 manual 1.2L is at the mechanic workshop. he said that the Flywheel needs rebalancing smoothing by chiseling it. also , he is replacing my clutch disc and pressure plate to one that is called PHC Valeo Kit and he said that it is even better than the factory one that i have right now who's manufactured in china. i wanted to ask what do you think about the claim that the Valeo kit is better than the factory one , and also what is the name of the factory that makes the original one. Thank you !

I did it this way because when you remove the engine asembly it books at like 12 hrs.thanks for watchin really apreciate it.

About how many miles did you have on the factory clutch? And how did you know you needed a new clutch? Just trying to get a ballpark of when to change my Chevy Sark clutch. Thanks for the video, earned a new Subscriber!

Thanks really apreciate it I think it had 90,000 on it but it all depends on the driver, some clutches last 200,000 miles it just depends. For the most part you'll get a heads up before it goes out like it slips in 4th gear, or it gets stuck in gear. Thanks again.

Was there a certain way to put the tone ring back in I am having a problem with the crank sensor not working now after a motor change.

The tone ring is part of the of the flywheel and its keyed to fit a certain way on the crank shaft. If you did a engine swap from a diffrent year its possable the tone ring is diffrent qhich they like to change alot. Thanks for watchin really apreciate it.

@@fixergood thanks so much I was told it was the exact same year it looks identical except the new motor had some kind of spacer on the crank shaft where the flywheel went I just assumed it was maybe for a automatic transmission but I didn’t reuse it because my flywheel for the clutch wouldn’t bolt up with it. Maybe that’s my problem idk

I'm not sure I did not drain the oil on mine, on some models you take the reverse sensor out and fill from there but I'm not sure thanks again fir watchin.

Hey! Do you maybe have any tips on how to remove the starter motor? I need to change it on a chevy spark 2011 but I cant reach the bolts from under or above the spark engine 😅

From underneath, use 1/4 drive ratchet and extension

@@phiksit its not part of the throw out bearing like it is on my sonic, so if you just have a slave cylinder issue its an easy fix on this spark.

How do you know the clutch plate went out and what codes came up

I've never had a code come up for a clutch going bad, or usually you can tell it's bad by it slipping in 4th gear and not moving very well or smelling like burnt clutch. You skipped over the part where the throwout/release bearing was such a giant cluster F to get back in. The other influencers did as well. Now we know why. 2 hours and a f ton of mollt grease later. Still going. How did you get past it?
