How to replace the front brake pads on the Ford Transit Custom (2013 - 2017) Diesel

These videos are awesome. Ive just done my oil filter and oil change. I have now I’ve replaced my fuel filter soni think i can tackle the brake pads maybe the discs as well. These vids are the best

Thanks for the upload. Can you please confirm if you need to add any copper slip to the back of the pads and the sliders in regards to the transit?.

According to the manual, there's no requirement for any lubrication on the pads. New genuine pads have adhesive pads on the back plates, but there's no harm in applying a thin smear of Ceratec to the back plates where they contact the caliper.

No mention of the brake pad sensor though?. I only mention because I recently had new pads and disks fitted and I not have the brake wear warning message popping up all the time?

My custom 2014 is displaying message that i need to change break pads but not saying if its front or back. is there sensor on both axels or just one? thanks

Some have sensors on the front and rear, some only on the front.

Where do you put the copper grease?

On the pad back plates where they contact the piston/caliper, and at the edges of the back plates where they contact the caliper bracket.

At 4:00 is says to tighten the nuts but the video shows undoing them...Ooops

A few manufacturers specifically state that no lubrication should be applied to the pad backing plates.
