How to Replace the Front Brake Pads & Rotors on a 2012 Nissan Frontier!

Hello there, I am attempting to change my rotors and pads on my 2008 Nissan Frontier. I bought a kit and the front pads have 3 pads that are the same and 1 has a clip on it. Does it matter if this pad with the clip goes on the driver or passenger side? Thanks
