just purchased a 2020 3500 a dealership and will be replacing all filters, including oil. thank you for the video. a great help. and no, i don't trust the dealerships to do a complete replacement of oil and filters when selling used vehicles.

I agree, not to trust dealerships. Unless you have been doing business with them for a long time. For what it cost it's cheap insurance . This way, you know they're done.

Thanks Bob, this is the best video I’ve found on changing the top fuel filter on KZbin. They wanted 420.00 to change the 2 filters. Stealerships for sure. Do you have a Mopar or Fleetguard part number by chance or where do you source your filters at? Thanks much sir.

I used OEM parts 68157291AA and 68436631AA for the fuel filters. Usually do an internet search to find the best price when I am able to plan ahead. Hope this helps, thanks for watching.

I followed your instructions on the rear filter and it worked great. Much more room there. I tried the front filter but apparently Andre the Giant screwed the cap on. With limited room I was unable to budge it at all :( Looks like I'll have to take it into a shop to do it. Poor design IMHO by Ram in the front. Thanks!

Is the front one reversed threads? I see you righty loosie turning the front filter cap.

Nice Video…..would you recommend doing the prime step after changing each filter or after doing both? Or don’t you think it would really matter either way? Thanks

Yes, I would do it after each change. It doesn’t hurt. Thanks for watching.

Bob, do you know or think the same instructions apply to a 2021 Ram 2500? Great video, like that you are specific on what hoses and socket you used, watched both the front and rear filter videos.
@funbro12 жыл бұрын
Well I’m not 100% sure, I do believe they should be very close to the same if not exactly. Thanks for watching.

2:18 the design of front and rear one should improve, no matter how you drain it, when you take off the cap, always spill out some fuel.
@funbro13 жыл бұрын
I agree, there is much that can be improved in this area. Thanks for watching

Bob, Whats the part number for this front filter... I ordered one and got the entire housing without a filter inside....

Filter seems stuck i push in but in dosnt appear to move i turn and turn and pull and pull but it will not lift out.

It does “click” into place but it should lift out pretty easily. I’m not sure why it would not come out?

Is it ok to just change the front? Isn’t there a back filter also?
@funbro1 Жыл бұрын
Yea there is a back filter as well, I would recommend changing both at the same time. Here is a link for changing the back filter. Thanks for watching. How to Replace the Rear Fuel Filter on a 2020 6.7L Cummins Diesel. kzbin.info/www/bejne/jV68qXmiqpp1j7s

Can you use silicone lube for the O-rings or is diesel sufficient ?
@funbro12 жыл бұрын
I would stick with fuel since it’s easily available. But silicone grease coils work. Thanks for watching.

Nice video , but that was probably $40 in fuel in that bottle 😂🤣😂🤣
@funbro12 жыл бұрын
When the video was made it was probably only $20 in fuel but since the “stealership” charges $400ish for a job like this I still saved money. Thanks for watching.
