@@pennyking3823 - If you have patience and/or little hands, then yes. I tried that and wanted to smash this little car. I took the little bit of extra time and got to visually inspect more of a minor cover gasket leak so using their method was worth it. Plus I didn’t smash the car.

I have never considered them regular maintenance like oil changes, but considering the last 3 cars I bought ended up with oxygen sensor problems within a month of driving….maybe I should pay more attention.

It's a universal socket sensor just ask for it at autozone I got it for $17

If you have small hands, you can TRY from the bottom OR simply remove the engine cover & air inlet to the throttle body. The issue is tool / hand clearance and you’re essentially doing everything by “feel”. I highly advise against listening to people’s shortcuts when working on cars. Do it correctly and you’ll generally have less problems.

You have 2 oxygen sensors. The upstream and downstream sensor.

I'm pretty sure this 1st one (upstream) is NOT a O2 sensor, but a Air Fuel Ratio sensor. The 2nd one (downstream) is a O2 sensor.

No. That car comes with one 02 downstream sensor. That's what this is.

Yes, that’s was Nissan calls it. A/F sensor. If we really want to get nerdy: it’s a sensor designed to detect traces of unburned fuel and oxygen in the exhaust and analyze those readings to calculate the A/F ratio in order to assist in the calculation of the A/F mixture delivered to the combustion chamber.

You dont have to remove all those parts the sensor can still be accessed with enough room without all that work.
