The plenum does not need to be removed (although it clearly was here). The access is much worse than pictured but manageable. reinstalling the clamp is the only difficult part.

So....I have to raise the hood before i can locate the PVC? Good to know. Seriously, anyone who needs that kind of detail shouldn't be attempting any kind of work on their vehicle.
