Isit just me or you just rewind the removal of the o ring and at the end you put the o ring inside of the thermostat im confused

you did it wrong you put the thermostat gasket on the wrong side of thermostat when installing. should be on outside of thermostat

Front end of thermostat goes the gasket but why upon install was it on the rear? Observation
