Good job. According to the manufacturer of the water pump, AISIN, you're not supposed to put the sealant in the groove but on the exterior. Check their video out: kzbin.info/www/bejne/eYXSd2OPqKaNr68 Also, better to use a plastic scraper than a metal one to avoid gouging the surface of the engine where the water pump goes.

One hose of the radiator have to be colder than the other then that means the water is circulating. If you feel both hot it means theirs no circulation. The purpose of the radiator is to cool down the hot water coming from the engine and putting cooler water in again.

I'm having issues loosening the 4 bolts on the water pump pulley. There's a larger gap between it and the car to jam a screw driver in on my Solara, so I am still working it out.

I had trouble with that too. Ended up using an oil filter wrench to hold the big wheel and it fit perfectly, to hold it steady while I loosened the bolts.

If the fan belt adds no help, why not remove the water pump pulley after you remove the Alternator? You have more room to monkey around. You even mentioned in the video that if you try to turn the bolts loose, the pulley just slides under the belt, no? Also, I use the CarQuest Advance auto Water pumps with a gasket. Easier to use and to remove in the future. I dislike sealants.
